with caller Roger Downing
and featuring a special appearance by Lancashire dialect reciter, SID CALDERBANK
Union Street Band celebrate 10 years of playing for dancing. Their infectious rhythmic grooves have been heard across the north of England at many celebrations. They toured in the Middle East in 2013. The 3 original members are all from the Blackburn area and return to their own back yard on Saturday 10th March for a special knees-up. Their regular caller, Southport’s Roger Downing will be cajoling the dancers, cracking the jokes and providing bursts of percussion. There will be a special appearance of another of the band’s regular callers, Sid Calderbank who will provide light relief with some of his locally sourced ditties.
