(Seamus Heffernan of Shamrock Promotions)
It is with regret that Janet and I have had to cancel Saturday night’s show featuring Damien Barber & Mike Wilson. Poor advance ticket sales indicated we were likely to suffer substantial financial loss and, with the agreement of the performers, a decision was taken on Friday afternoon, 15th Feb to cancel.
We apologise to those of you who might have wanted to come without making a commitment to buying a ticket.
We hope to see you at one or both of the next 2 shows which Shamrock Promotions will be managing:
Joan and Jimmy Sat 9 March – a play brought to the Centre by Spot On, the local Rural Touring network based on the story of theatre impresario, Joan Littlewood and he relationship with poet, musician, playwright and Communist, Jimmy Miller (aka Ewan MacColl)
The Road to Peterloo Sun 9 June – another show with songs and a narrative chronicling the events leading up to the Massacre of Peterloo in Manchester 200 years ago.
Saturday 16th February, 2019 8.00 pm
with support from Me, Thee and E
Traditional song from the British Isles accompanied on guitar and concertina, delivered by two bastions of the folk tradition who return to The Brook after 3 years.

The evening will begin with a short set from another acoustic duo, Me, Thee and E featuring the guitar of Tom Gill and the voice of Evie Rapson.
