Seasoned performer as a solo act and as a member of ‘The Sands Family’

Presenter of BBC Radio Ulster’s weekly show “Folk Club” for over 20 years.

His songs have been covered by many performers including Andy Irvine, Maddy Prior. Liam Clancy and Roy Bailey

Described as a performer who “views the world with balanced, non tribalistic humanity, breaking down all kinds of barriers and leaving behind an optimism and appreciation of the power of the human spirit over adversity.”

He has received a Living Tradition Award and was shortlisted for three nominations for the 2009 Grammy Awards
